An Incredible Rainbow Moon

I love the way Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim helps us to analyze movies.  We recently saw the movie “BattleShip”.  I hadn’t heard much about it, and didn’t expect much.  But is was surprisingly good.  It started off  about youth, arrogance, and ignorance, and quickly moved into an emergency situation of survival, death, and fear.  It showed that we are vulnerable, and that we can rise to the occasion.  It showed under extreme situations how we can grow, unify, and conquer.   How even in the most impossible situations, is it still possible.  I love that energy.  It also ended in a very positively, and I like that.  Of course, I am an optimist.  On the way home, the wind was blowing, the fog was moving in, and the temperature was dropping.  We looked up and there was a bright moon with a circular rainbow around it.  I had never seen that before.  I took a picture, but it really doesn’t capture how spectacular it was.

We were looking at the amazing moon, and all of a sudden Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim shouted out Ezekiel 1:28 from the Bible.  There was no bible around.  It was very dark.  Where did this come from?  This moon was very unexpected.  There was no planning.  Everything happened at the spur of the moment.  But what really happened?  I quickly  looked up the message in my bible app on my iPhone: “Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.   This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. "

Thank you Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, for all your incredible training, wisdom, and love.  I feel incredibly lucky that God brought me into your life.  May God bless you and protect you, and give us the courage, strength, and wisdom to be God’s soldiers through helping others, giving others hope, and doing positive deeds.

Have a Dream and the Will to Follow.

What happens when you get so busy, that you can't find time to workout anymore? What happens when your environment and situation dominate your time and your mindspace? What happens when you are in a financial crisis and it requires all your time to just survive? What happens when you look back and findout your you have gained 30 pounds and your health is slipping away?

This is not uncommon among people today. One thing that has always helped me is to go back to my roots as a martial arts student. When I was training, and when I was in shape, I was the happiest. My mind and body were on a high. I felt like I could conquer and overcome anything. Now is time my friend. Do whatever you can to get back in shape. Don't let others rob your health, and spirit and dreams.

I was remembering a great song that Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim taught me, Universal Heart. The first part is: "I have a dream and the will to follow, I am aware of the power in me. I can not wait until tomorrow. I must act now if I want to be free. ..." The drums are playing to it, and it is an energetic song. I can feel the power rising up inside.

If you never have heard the song go to the Jung SuWon Martial Academy to learn the martial arts and ask about the song. And then think about making your dreams come true. Don't let your dreams slip away. Or you can go to Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim's website, or the Jung SuWon Website, or Great Grandmaster's product website, called Northstar Productions.

Remember your dreams. You have the power within you. Do it now...!

Take care of your health during a recession

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim had a great lecture the other night about the recession. Most people are stressed. Over 4 Million people are out of jobs and unemployment is growing. Fear, anger and depression are growing. Suicides are up.

One of the best ways to help make it through the recession is to be disciplined about your training, says Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim. Be very disciplined about working out 3 to 5 times a week. At Jung SuWon Academy we emphasize this to our students. By working out, they will feel better about themselves. They will shed stress and feel stronger, and that will give them to extra energy to deal with a growing negative environment.

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim dealt with very negative circumstances growing up and all her life. She faced war, and prejidice, and jealousy, and still faces that even today. One of the best ways to deal with that, is to focus on self-improvement. By building your self-confidence and positive energy, more people will want to be near you and you can create your own positive energy for you and your family.

So at Jung SuWon we encourage and motivate our students to train hard, be disciplined, and take charge of their life and the times. Tough times will pass, and it takes tough people to make it through. Be a warrior and champion of your life. Jung Su!

A Positive Attitude during a Recession? Why?

Why not? Most people will be depressed, and sad, and become more and more negative. But in tough times, that is when tough people get tough. The martial arts teaches people to be tough. To learn to challenge themselves and their environment. Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim is a great example of that. She faced great hardship in her life. She had a choice, to sink, or to rise up and succeed. People want to be around happy and positive people. Learn to be tough. Learn to be that person. Positive energy attracts positive energy. As you attract it, you then can maintain your own positive energy more. Jung SuWon Martial Arts teaches that everyday, and if you read any of Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim's books you will see that energy being taught and projected.

Read the "Seven Steps to Inner Power". Discover the great power within you.
Read the "Silent Master". Here you really learn to apply your inner power.
And Read the "First Element" to discover many things about Energy that you never really knew. Learn to use energy to your advantage.

As a Jung SuWon Instructor it is our responsibility to demonstrate and teach our students these lessons. Good luck. You can do it. He can do. She can do. Why not me!!!

Make Your Own Choices- be the owner of your Life

In this world we have some things in our control, and some things we can't control. We can choose what we eat. We can choose where we live. We can choose what clothes we wear. We can choose the people we associate with.

Enjoy - the path as you drive towards your goals. Choose good, capable, and loyal people to surround you. That is heaven. That is taking control of your life.

If you lose site of this, you might find yourself surrounded by mean and devious people. There may be some short term benefits, but in the long run they will destroy your life. Eventually it will destroy everything around you, and make your life miserable.

Remember, you have the power of choice. Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim always emphasizes to surround yourself with love and honor. This is the Jung SuWon Way.

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim also has meditation products to help you clear your mind, remove your stress, and be more peaceful. Visit Jung SuWon Academy to find more like minded people.

Wouldn't it look funny: A dog trying to be a bird?

When I was young in my Jung SuWon training (maybe 3 years in), I was really striving to get better and better. I wanted to be the best. At that time it is a very natural thing to compete and look at others. Some were really good at flying kicks. Other people were very flexible, and could do incredible kicks. Others could do back flips and front flips. Sometimes I would get depressed, and put myself down. But my master (Great GrandmasterTae Yun Kim) let me know, that each one of us was special and unique. And that I had to find my own strengths and courage. I remember she used to tell me, "wouldn't it be funny if you saw a dog trying to be a bird, or a bird trying to be a dog. It would be ridiculous. A dog trying to fly would be lost. Each animal has their own strength, and they have to recognize and excel at their speciality." I always remember that story, and I always remind myself. It allows me to focus on me, and not looking or judging others. God gave us each great gifts. Lets find those gifts, polish them up, and use them to better our lives, protect our loved ones, and better the lives of those around us.

Training for your benefit, not your ego...

I was in one of Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim's martial arts class in which she was going over the philosophy of the art of Jung Suwon. Grandmaster asked us, are you training for you? are you really? Or are you just training to stroke your Ego?

I said to myself, of course I am here training for myself. Why else would I be here? But then she asked if I was here to please others opinions, or was I here to really focus on my own learning and advancement? Hmm...

Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim said to me, "when you have a large # of people in the class, do you train as hard as when there are only 3 people in the class? Are you performing for others around you to see? Are you training to get a good reputation among your peers? Is it your Ego you are trying to stroke, or are you really training for you? Are you really focused on your own weaknesses and trying to improve them? So often people are quick to criticize others... For example: Oh look at them.. they are doing that wrong. or they are doing that funny, but put that all aside, and how often do you self analyze yourself. Ask yourself truly, what should I be working on? Turn the focus from judging others, and point it towards yourself. Then you will really grow and excel..."

Hmm, I sat down and thought about it deeply. At first I didn't see it. My first reaction was to be argumentative. At first I thought this is ridiculous, but the more I thought about it, the truth was there. I did let others effect me. I let their opinions matter. I often criticized others, and I rarely turned this sharp eye on myself. So it was hard to hear the truth, but Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim was completely right. This was a big step in my training to excel and learn.

Thank you Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim for sharing your Jung Suwon teachings, and for the willingness to share the hard truths with me.

Be Disciplined, Meditate regularly, & get great benefits...

Working for a living. Teaching others. Trying to pay bills. Trying to help others. Trying to please others. Many of us live complicated lives. In our minds, in our emotions, and in our spirit we are very busy. Our minds becomes like a lake with big waves coming from all directions. Very choppy and mixed up. Usually we don't take the time to meditate and listen to our inner voices.

Learn to meditate and practice regularly. Learn in this busy world how to let all those waves settle out and see the calm peaceful lake of your mind. Let the water of your mind become like still pond water without even a ripple. If you can learn to reach this level you will benefit greatly. Your life and your decisions will become clearer day to day. Learn to meditate everyday, and wash your mind.

The excitement and adventure continues... If you continue to meditate regularly, and seek deeper, your ability to reach this calm state can open the doors to even greater areas of inner power and spiritual enlightenment. I was fortunate enough to learn this through the Self Discover program that Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim used to give at Jung SuWon.
